I made a cake & have done the general house work. I have been feeling bad all day & in bed part of the day. I have had the headache, backache and my legs ache. I thought I might have had a chill as I got a little cool a while today. I don't know whether the shot Dr. Finley gave me in my finger made me sick or not. I felt bad yesterday afternoon after he gave me the shot. Mr. Clarence Yates came this afternoon. Bob Wiley has been here today. Loyd came this afternoon & finished Robert's playhouse. He hung the door put the window lights in. I read a little tonight. I went to bed early as I didn't feel like staying up.

Saturday, July 12, 1947
Bob Wiley & Dock ate dinner with us. They are helping Rex Plant Beans. I cleaned up the house and have done the general house work . I feel a good deal better today. I read some this afternoon & took a nap. Rex worked tonight. He rolled ground. They got all of Rex beans sowed and got through planting corn yesterday. We listen to the Radio some. Rex got Mr. Fredrick a job at a mines near Nortonsville. Mr. Fredrick went to town to see if he could find an empty house to move in but he said he couldn't find one.
