It rained a big rain this Morning. I don't feel well but better than I did Friday. Rex, Mother, Robert & I went to town this afternoon and got some cream. We then drove to Pleasant View to Mother's farm. It don't look to me like they are going open a coal mines on Mother's place. I don't think they have any work for a week or two. We stopped at the cemetery a few minutes. I read some tonight.

Monday, July 14, 1947
We washed today. Robert went with Rex to Dock's & has been gone all day. Rex is helping Dock sow beans. It rained some this afternoon. I went to bed a while this afternoon and read while in bed. Lawrence, Jean & Mrs. McClaren came late this afternoon. We played Rook tonight. Jean & Rex won more games than Lawrence and I did.
