Monday, November 10. 1947 314th Day - 51 Days to Follow I washed today. I washed out of doors. Mother got dinner. It sprinkled rain nearly all afternoon so we brought the clothes in the house and hung them in the back bed-room. L. a. ate dinner here today He helped Rex combine Beans until the sprinkles of rain made them quit combining. Callie come a little while & brought me some flower slips. Fred Slaton has been painting today. I went to Mrs. Jones & took her some milk & turnip greens. John Marion came a little while. [Following page] Monday November 10, 1947 Lawrence, Jean & Mrs. McClaren came late this afternoon. Lawrence & Jean ate supper with us even if we didn't have very much. We then played Rook.
Tuesday, November 11, 1947 315th Day - 50 Days to Follow We ironed today and made some Beet pickles. I mended part of the clothes and have been busy all day.

Wednesday, November 12, 1947 316th Day - 49 Days to Follow Rex & I went to town today. Rex went to court and I got Mother some under-wear and tired to find her some ready made aprons but couldn't find any. I saw Mrs. Shelly Moore and we were together in town a while. She wen't home and I wen't to Show and saw "Forever Amber." I liked the show fairly well. [Following page] Wed. Nov. 12, 1947 Fred topped our chimney today. Betty came a little while. Eddie Kemmel come also. Robert got his report card. He made A in art, A in arithmetic and A in writing and B+ in Reading. We are proud of his grades.
Thusday, November 13, 1947 317th Day - 48 Days to Follow Mother & I changed the furniture in the back - bed room. We wan't to get it fixed so Uncle Brock can move back before it get too cold. He has slept in his little house all summer. We sure have been busy today. Rex & Loyd killed a Beaf and Lyod ate dinner with us. We made some sliced Green tomato catsup and I washed a good many things. I have read some tonight. I don't feel so well today. I think I am taking a bad cold. Mother doesn't feel well either.

Friday, November 14, 1947 318th Day - 47 Days to Follow We canned 3 gallons of Beaf today. I hemmed Robert a pair of pants. I made them shorter. I took the hem out of one of my dresses and made longer. It has been raining today so Rex couldn't thrash Beans. I read some tonight. Rex & I played cards a while tonight. Rex won the most games.
Saturday, November 15, 1947 319th Day - 46 Days to Follow Rex, Robert & I went to town today. I got Robert a new cap, shoes and over shoes. I took him to the Doctor & got some Medicine for the sores he has on him. He has several festered up places on him. I got his hair cut. We ate down in town then we walked to Jessie's. I stayed at Jessie's a little While then I went back down in town & went to the Show. I read some tonight. Rex went Fox hunting.

Sunday, September 16, 1947 320th Day - 45 Days to Follow We didn't go anywhere today. Lin and Lawrence come this afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Page came a few minutes and brought Mother some flower slips. I read some tonight. Today was meeting day at Liberty but Rex didn't wan't to go so we didn't go. Dr. Hollow came this morning to see our home mule. He didn't know what was wrong. She gets lame every spring and also in the fall.
Monday, November 17, 1947 321st Day - 44 Days to Follow We washed today. Rex combined some beans. Robert wen't to school. Uncle Brock got sick this afternoon. He seemed to have a chill. He said he was so cold. We fixed the bed and he will sleep in our back bed-room tonight. We aimed for him to move down here to sleep when the weather got too bad for him to sleep at his little house. Lawrence and Jean come late this afternoon and took Supper with us. Uncle Brock seems to feel awful bad tonight. We played Rook tonight and had a big time. It seems to be turning colder tonight.

Tuesday November 18, 1947 322 Day - 43 Days to Follow It has rained some today and seems to be turning colder. Uncle Brock has been sick all day. Rex called Dr. Finley and he come. He said he thought Uncle Brock has the flu. I canned 3 gallons of Beaf and ironed a few pieces. Robert has a bad cold so he stayed at home today and I gave him some medicine. I sure hope he doesn't take the flu. I don't feel well. Rex feels bad also.
Wednesday, November 19, 1947 323rd Day - 42 Days to Follow Robert is better so he wen't to school today. Uncle Brock is better. I got a letter from Mildred Johnson. I canned 3 gallons of Beaf. I ironed a few pieces. I sure feel bad today. I wrote a letter to my cousing (Mrs. Jewell Butler.) I read a little tonight.
