Thursday, November 20, 1947 324th Day - 41 Days to Follow Uncle Brock may - be a little better but he is awful weak. I finished ironing and mended the clothes. I don't feel well. Robert is lots better and wen't to school. We cleaned up the house. Mother gave Uncle Brock a Bath. I read some tonight. Rex finished combining the Beans in the Ball - Bottom's today. Dock ate dinner a little while this afternoon and read while in bed.
Friday, November 21, 1947 325th Day - 40 Days to Follow Mother and I fixed a canning of Beaf. We canned 3 gallons. I washed some for Uncle Brock and patched his under-wear. Mr. Jones come a few minutes. Rubye come this afternoon. I got a letter from Cousin Emma Kirkwood. She sent $2.00 to help pay the man for keeping Pleasant View cemetary cleaned. I read some tonight. I feel some better today. I think Uncle Brock is better.

Saturday, November 22, 1947 326th Day - 39 Days to Follow Rex, Robert and I wen't to town today. I walked with Robert nearby to Jessie's after he had gotten a few little things he wanted. I then wen't back down in town and got Uncle Brock a Rubber Sheet, 2 wash Rags, 2 sheets, a double blanket and some underwear. I have had a busy day. I wen't to the Show. Uncle Brock is some better. Mother stayed with him. I read some tonight. I still don't feel well.
Sunday, November 23, 1947 327th Day - 38 Days to Follow We stayed at home all day except Rex wen't to Dock's a little while this morning. Mr. Jim Lyon and Mr. John [Muse?] come this afternoon. Mr. Jones come also and Betty Wiley come a little while. She got Uncle Brock's clothes for Mrs. Wiley to wash. I wrote Wooton and to cousin Emma Kirkwood. I played "Touring", with Robert. I read some tonight. Brock is better.

Monday, November 24, 1947 328th Day - 37 Days to Follow We washed today even if it has been a bad day and rained some. We hung most of the clothes on the back porch. I wen't to bed a little while this afternoon and rested and read some while in bed. I don't feel well. Uncle Brock is better and has been up most of the day. Lawrence and Jean come tonight and ate Supper. We played Rook. Jean and Rex won the most games. It was a unlucky night for Lawrence and I. It is some colder.
Tuesday, November 25, 1947 329th Day - 36 Days to Follow I got part of my ironing done. Mother ironed her clothes. I cut a double blanket into and hemmed it and made 2 sheets for Uncle Brock. He is better. I got a letter from Mae Barnes. She sen't $3.00 for the upkeep of Pleasant View cemetary. I read some tonight. I don't feel well today.

Wednesday, November 26, 1947 330th Day - 35 Days to Follow I made 5 tea towels this afternoon. I finished ironing and canned 3 gallons of Beaf. We got some checks from the Charleston Coal Co. Mother got a $200 check for advance Royalty on her no. 9 coal. She got a $33.74 check for tipple Royalty and I got a check for $33.74 for tipple Royalty. I get half of the tipple Royalty. Mr. Jones came a little while this morning. I took Callie some Steak today. I didn't stay but a few minutes. Betty and Bob came a little while. Betty brought Uncle Brock his clean clothes. I read some tonight. Rex, Robert and I played "touring" tonight.
Thursday, November 27, 1947 331st Day - 34 Days to Follow Thanksgiving Day Fletcher and Dock ate dinner with us. They have been helping Rex combine Beans. I have a bad cold. Robert has a cold also. I don't think Uncle Brock feels as well today however he has been up all day and walked to his little house after something he wanted. I read some tonight. I played "Touring", with Robert some and read to him.
