Thursday, December 18, 1947 352 Day - 13 Days to Follow

Robert got out of school at noon today. We wrapped some Xmas packages this afternoon. I finished addressing the Xmas cards I wan't to send. I don't feel well. I read some tonight and listened to the Radio some.

Friday, December 19, 1947 353 Day - 12 Days to Follow

Robert got out of school at noon today. He doesn't have to go back to school for 2 weeks. They had a program this morning and exchanged presents. Robert wanted me to go but I didn't go with him. Mrs. Jones come this afternoon. Robert, mother and I decerated his Xmas tree this afternoon. We wen't over in the field and got some red berries and strung them and put them on the tree. Loyd ate dinner with us. He helped Rex to get Robert's Xmas tree. I read some tonight.

Saturday, December 20, 1947 354th Day - 11 Days to Follow

We didn't go to town today as Rex wanted to gather corn. Elmer and Loyd helped him. We cleaned up the house. I washed a few pieces for Robert. I dry cleaned 2 of my dresses. We listened to the Radio tonight and I read some.

Rex took mother to aunt Elma Frowler's today. She will spend the day with them. Fletcher came a little while this morning. Rex and Robert went to Fletcher's this afternoon then they wen't to town after mother. I stayed at home with Uncle Brock. his mind is so poor that we don't like to leave him alone. Fred McGuyer and Ethel Mae come this afternoon. Betty Wiley come also. lin and Nonnie Mae came a few minutes. Mother, Rex and Robert got home before Fred and Ethel left.

Monday, December 22, 1947 356the Day - 9 Days to Follow We washed today. Mother was able to help me wash. Robert and I wen't to Mrs. Jones a little while and took her our Xmas gifts we got them for Xmas. We looked for Lawrence and Jean tonight but they didn't come. We listened to the Radio tonight.

Tuesday December 23, 1947 357the Day- 8 Days to Follow I made 2 cakes and dressed a chicken. Mother churned and boiled some custard. We ironed and I cleaned up part of the house. We heard the "Amus and Andy Show" and "Fiber McGee and Molly" tonight. We sure had a busy day.

Wednesday, December 24, 1947 358th Day - 7 Days to Follow Rex, Robert and I wen't to town today. We ate our lunch then I went to the Show. Robert stayed with Rex while I wen't to the Show. He doesn't like to go to Shows. Mother stayed at home with Uncle Brock. She boiled a ham today.

THursday, December 25, 1947 359th Day - 6 Days to Follow Christmas Day Lin, Jessie and Brock spen't the day with us. Rex got me a new chain Sweater and magazine stand. Mother got me two wool Rugs. I think it was 15 presents I got in all. Robert got a toy airplane that he can ride in. he got a wind-up train and some building Blocks, overcoat, cap, tractor, a game of checkers and [5?] Books and $3 and a sweater besides fire-crackers and treats. Mother got some curtains, Vases, Soap, scarf, $[5?] and a number of other things. I got Rex a sweater. Mother and I got him a $15 fountain pen. Uncle Brock got a shirt, 6 pairs of socks, flash light and

Friday, December 26, 1947 360th Day - 5 Days to Follow We havn't done anything much except what needed to be done. I just warmed up dinner and cleaned up some in the rooms. What looked the worse. Betty Wiley come a little while this afternoon. Elmer Gray has walked here today. Rex has been tacking felt on the little house where Elmer and Beatrice aims to move. I wen't down to the house and watched Rex work a little while. Lee Wiley was down talking to Rex.

Saturday, December 27, 1947 361 Day - 4 Days to Follow Rex, Robert and I wen't to town today. Robert stayed down in town with me. We ate our lunch then we wen't to the Show. He liked the Show better than he used to. We got a Shirt for Lin and took it to him late this afternoon. We are invited to Lin's tomorrow for dinner. It is Lin's birthday.
