Fruit Rolls (Can be made of any kind of fruit)

Prune Roll Make a rich pie crust (as much as for a pie.) Roll out real thin and butter. Take the boiled prunes (seeded) and put a layer of them in the crust - then sprinkle with sugar and about 1/2 nutmeg (grated) Then roll it up - place in pan and sprinkle again with sugar and nutmeg Pour the fruit juice over this and also pour about 1 1/2 cups of cold water in pan. Let cook about 3/4 hours. Delicious!

Coconut Layer Cake.

2 1/2 cups of flour. (about 2 tablespoons butter and 3/4 cup milk, stir to a cream first) /[Wrong?]\

Coconut Layer Cake

1/2 cup butter and 1 1/2 cup sugar - cream this, then add 3/4 cup milk, 2 1/2 cups flour, 2 teaspoons baking powder. Flavor - 4 eggs - (2 whites of these separated for frosting)

The frosting is thickened with powdered sugar

Salmon [C]roquettes

One can [salmon] pick in little pieces [and] remove bones. Two tablespoons butter - let melt in a small stew kettle, 2 tablespoons flour - allow th[ese] to brown Pour in enough milk to get stiff. Pinch of salt and pepper. Put salmon in this until it comes to a boil - Set off to cool. Put a cup of cracker crumbs in the salmon. Mix well and put in shapes - set them to cool. When ready to fry roll in cracker crumbs and dip in egg.

Baking Powder Biscuits Take 1/2 flour 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder (sifted) 2 tablespoon butter or lard Mix this until it is all thoroughly mixed (this is the main thing) Pour milk enough to stiffen and roll out - then cut -

Egg Toast Bread sliced thin and toasted. Take four hard boiled eggs - separed the yolks and chop fine. Take 1 tablesppon butter and melt-brown this with a tablespoon flour. Pour milk enough to cream slice whites of egg and drop in the butter and flour. Salt, Put on toast sprinkle yolk over these
