1/2 cup Sugar 2 level Ta.sp. butter 2 Eggs 2 c. Milk (sweet or sour) 4 c. flour 4 Tsp. baking powder or 3 " + 1 soda. 1/2 T. cup nuts or raisins Let rise 20 min. Bake in slow oven 45 M.

Chilli Sauce

Peel 18 large ripe tomatoes + 3 large onions. chop separately. Add 4 green peppers - chopped 1/4 cup sugar - 2 tablespoons Salt. 1 quart mild vinegar - 4 Teaspoons cinnamon - Boil slowly about 2 hrs.

3 qts. sliced cucumbers 6 onions sliced 2 green peppers 1/3 cup of salt 1 qt. of Vinegar 2 cups sugar 1 Teaspoon white mustard seed " " turmeric - salt

Bring to a boil.
