Steamed Brown Bread

2 cups sour milk
1/2 cup molasses
3 1/4 cup graham flour
2 1/2 level teaspoons soda
1 level teaspoon salt
1 egg
Sift the graham before measuring
Add molasses and salt and egg to sour
milk and pour onto flour.
Beat well, add soda dissolved in
1 tablespoon of warm water.
Put into a buttered mould and steam
3 hours.
