Autumn Dessert Salad.
Dissolve 1 pkg. pineapple gelatine
in 1 cup boiling water, add 1/2 cup
grape juice, 2 tbsp lemon juice &
1/4 tsp salt. Chill until syrupy.
Fold in 1 cup diced celery, 1 cup
dried unpeeled red apples, 1/2 cup
seedless raisins & 1/2 cup cubed
American cheese. Pour into individual
molds, chill until firm.
Unmold on lettuce & watercress
Serve with mayonnaise. Serves 4-6.
Hamburger Pie
Season 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
chuck, shape into small balls
Saute in 3 tbsp. fat or salad oil.
Place in 9 inch baked pie
shell. Using pan drippings from
meat balls make 2 cups
gravy. Pour over meat balls.
Cut in half lengthwise 5
cooked carrots, saute. Saute
12 onion rings. Arrange carrots
& onion on top of pie. Serves 4.
