boil. Cool until lukewarm. Add
crumbled yeast and beat with rotary
beater till well blended. Add
beaten egg and enough flour (about
2½ C. ) to make a stiff dough.
Knead on floured board for 5 min
adding flour as needed to keep
it from sticking to board. Cover
with clean towel and let rise until
double. Then knead for 1 min
Shape into loaf and put in a greased
loaf pan. 10x5x3½ cover and let
rise until a little more than
double. Bake in 375° for 50 min
Brush with melted butter. 1 loaf
