Hot Dish

1½ lb Hamburger 2 cans Tomato soup
2 cans Cream of Mushroom Soup 1 cup celery
1 med onion (cut up fine)
2 bags chow mein noodles celery salt
Brown Hamburger with onion, celery, salt & pepper. Add tomato soup and mushroom soup.

Bake ½ hour at 350 oven.

Add chow mein noodles on top of mixture. Push them down into the mixture so the noodles are just under the liquid. Bake a while longer.

Perfect Walnut Rice Pilaf Saute ⅓ cup finely chopped onion, 1 minced garlic clove in 2 Tabls butter. Stir in 1 cup uncooked white rice, saute about 3 min. Pour 2 cups chicken or beef broth, season with ⅛ tsp. marjoram and ¾ tsp salt.

Cover. Steam until rice is tender about 20 minutes. Fluff with ½ cup finely chopped toasted walnuts and ¼ cup chopped parsley. Makes 4 servings.

Meal in a Muffin Pan

1 can (15½ oz) corned beef hash Salt & Pepper 6 eggs ½ pkg corn muffin mix

Heat oven to 400. Generously grease 12 muffin cups, press 2 Tabsp hash in each of 6 muffin cups, making deep indentations in center of hash. Break an egg into each cup; season with salt and pepper.

Prepare half package muffin mix as directed, fill remaining muffin cups ½ full. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until muffins are golden brown and eggs are desired doneness. 4 to 6 servings. By Alice Sullivan

Swedish Meat Balls sounds good

2 lbs ground chuck (lean) 2 medium raw potatoes, grated
1 small onion grated ⅛ tesp groud allspice
1 tesp sugar Salt & Pepper to taste
Mix well and shape into real small balls. brown on all sides. Cover with hot water and simmer 1 hour. Remove meatballs and thicken juice for gravy. Can be served seperately or together in serving dish. by Ruth Wehl

Calico Beans

1 can pork & beans 1 can red kidney beans (drain and save liquid) 1 can lima beans (drain & save liquid) 1 lb. hamburger browned ½ lb. bacon cut up & browned

Add the following to hamburger & bacon then to beans;

1 cup onion ½ cup catsup 2 Tabsp molasses 1 Tabsp dry mustard ⅓ cup brown sugar {In pen, "Fry Hamb [Hamburger], add" refering to the listed ingredients, and then add to "beans last"} Bake in casserole in 350 oven for 1½ hours by Mayme Winner, Mina Drinkwine

Noodle Cashew Casserole

2 cups raw noodles 1½ cups milk
1 can cream of mushroom soup 1 can cream of chicken soup
½ lb cashew nuts ½ cup chopped celery
1 cups peas salt
Combine all inredients in a casserole with ¼ of the nuts ground. Use remaining nuts to garnish top with. Bake in 350 oven until tender. by Sadie Benson
