Plain Muffins

2 cups flour; 1 cup milk;
2 tbsp. sugar; 2 to 3 tbsp.
melted shortening or butter;
1 egg; 4 tbsp. baking powder;
½ tsp. salt.

Method Sift the dry in-
gredients, add gradually,
the milk, beaten egg and
the shortening, beat all
in well and pour into
greased muffin pans.
Bake in a hot oven 400 F.
for 25 mins.
