Grapefruit Pie
1 cup water | A few grains salt |
1 cup sugar | ¾ C grapefruit juice |
Meringue
2 egg whites ¼ C sugar 1 ½ C grapefruit juice
Boil the sugar, water & ½ C of the
grapefruit juice. Mix the cornstarch
+ salt with ¼ cup of the grapefruit
juice, and stir into the water +
sugar. When thick, remove from
fire and add egg yolks, first
stirring some of the hot mixture
into them. Pour into baked
pie shell.
