Our Best Lemon Pie
⅔ C sugar
1 ⅓ c water
5 T cornstarch
A few grains salt
3 egg yolks
¼ C lemon juice
Boil the sugar + water. Mix the
cornstarch, lemon juice + salt
+ stir into the water + sugar.
When thick, remove from fire.
Beat the egg yolks + stir some
of the hot mixture into them.
Then stir them into the hot mixture.
Put in baked crust.
All measurements level.
