Monday Oct 29th 1855 Blacksmith repairing wagon. Grice too unwell to work - Warren gone to the mountains for lumber Frier with 7 Inds gone to the lake for tules - Weeks putting roof on upper house -- Wilson got up this two yokes of oxen and put them to work in the harrows Tucker running 4 harrows in large wheat field - The men from the Fresno started this morning with the wagon mules &c

Sunday Oct 30th Blaksmith repairing wagons. Grice unable to work -- Frier returned from the lake with tules - Warren returned from the mountains with lumber - Weeks running up chimneys of upper houses with 8 Inds - Tucker running 4 harrows - Mill running

Wednesday Oct 31st Blacksmith reparing wagons - Grice unable to work. Warren putting area in order for chopping wood for a coal pit -- Frier hauling manure from corral onto garden - Weeks with 5 Ind putting tules on lower house - Tucker running 3 harrows with 7 Inds - killed a beef

Tursday, Nov 1st Blacksmith repairing wagons. Grice unwell - Warren with 4 Ind gone into the mountains to cut wood for a coal pit - Frier gone to assist in making coal pit - Wicks with 6 Inds. putting roof on lower house --Tucker running 8 harrows.

Friday Nov 2 .- Blacksmith repairing wagons - Grice unwell - Warren and Frier with 4 Inds cutting wood for a coal pit - Weeks with 6 Ind. putting roof on.

Saturday Nov 3. - Blacksmith repairing plows and stretcher in order to start the plows as soon as the rain comes - Grice unwell - Warren & Frier with 6 Inds cutting wood for coal pit -- Weeks with 5 Inds putting roof on lower house - Tucker running 3 harrows On Thursday of the week Alexander & Ranning's negros brought up the freight for the place, consisting of sugar, coffee, rice, clothing, &c.

Sunday, Nov 4th - No work

Monday Nov 5th - Blacksmith repairing plows Grice making doors for upper house - Warren cutting wood, with 4 Inds - Frier gone to the lake for tules for lower house - McKinzie gone to the Fort, with teams for freight - Tucker discontinued harrowing, to wait for rain.

Tuesday Nov 6 - Blacksmit repairing plows Grice making door for upper house - Warrent with 4 Inds cutting wood for coal pit - Weeks with 8 Inds making adobe - John with 3 Inds preparing ground to sow cabbage seed - McKinzie running mill, with 8 Squaws cleaning wheat - Killed a beef

Wednesday Nov 7th - Blacksmith making door hinges for upper house - Warrent with 5 Inds cuttng wood Weeks with 13 Inds making adobes - Tucker with 9 Inds cleaningh out lower house - John Sowing cabbage seed - McKinzie is running mill, with 10 Squaws cleaing wheat

Friday Nov 9th Blacksmith making door hinges Grice making doors - Warren with 4 Inds cutting wood Frier hauling wood - Weeks with 6 Inds making the wall, back of the house, higher -- On Monday of this week all the mules were sent into the canon to let them get in good order, to go to plowing when the rains come - killed a beef

November 10th Blacksmith making doornails - Grice making doors - Warren cutting wood - Weeks with 7 Inds Same as on yesterday - McKinzie running the Mill & Spears cleaning wheat - Frier hauling stones to make a [lake?] over at the large house - On the 22d of last month a harness maker was employed, who has been at work since that time, repairing harness, getting them ready to go plowing

Sunday Nov 11. No work. Maj Harvey & Col. Vinyard, started to Los Angeles on their way to William's Ranch: a report being made, that trouble was expected with the Inds between Los Angeles and Colorado river

Monday Nov 12. Blacksmith repairing wagons -Grice making doors for lower house -- Warren with 5 Inds cutting wood - Frier hauling tules to lower house - Weather pleasant with indication of rain

Tuesday Nov 13.th - Blacksmith reparing wagons Grice making doors for lower house - Warren with 5 Inds cuttng wood - Weeks with 4 Inds making a bake-oven at the large house - Frier hauling wood - killed a beef.

Wednesday Nov 14th. Blacksmith reparing wagons Grice making doors for lower hosue -- Warren with 3 Inds, cutting wood - Frier gone to the mountains for lumber - Weeks with 3 Inds covered the wall back of the dwelling house - McKinzie running mill.

Thursday Nov 15th Blacksmith repairing wagons. Grice making doors for lower house - Warren with 3 Inds cutting wood - Frier returned from canon with lumber - Weeks with 3 Inds making bake-over John with one Ind Sowing onion & turnip seed McKinzie running mill.

Friday Nov 16th. Blacksmith, as yesterday Grice making doors for lower house - Warren with 3 Inds cutting wood - Frier hauling wood - McKinzie running the Mill - John preparing ground, to sow cabbage seed

Saturday Nov 17th - Blacksmith as on Thursday Grice making window shutters for large house - Warren with 2 Inds, cutting wood - Frier with 2 Inds hauling manure on Garden-Weeks with 2 Ind making bake-over -- Harness maker is still at work repairing harness

Sunday Nov 18th No work

Monday Nov 19th - Blacksmith as on Thursday Grice at work in his shop - Warren with 4 Inds Setting up coal pit - Frier hauling wood - Weeks with 3 Inds making bake-over - Killed a beef.

Tuesday Nov 20th. Blacksmith as on Thursday Grice has quit work for a while on account of his health- Frier discharged, and paid off - Warren making coal pit - Weeks with 2 Ind making bake-oven
