Sir,

I have drawn upon you, under date of the 31st ult. in favor of Eugene Kelly & Co for four hundred and twenty six dollars, and sixty one cents, and, in favor of Richard Elliott for two hundred dollars. These drafts were in in payment for goods, purchased for the Arizona Indians, as per vouchers herewith enclosed. I advised you, on the 3rd ult. that I had ordered these goods, and stated my reasons for so doing, which were, I hope, satisfactory to the Department.

I also enclose herewith a traced copy of the original grant to Jose Aguirre of the land at Tejon. It will be seen from Simeno's endorsement that thte grant was revoked; I do not know whether this evidence
can be used now, but it might be well to inform the Atty Genl of its existence.
