Sir, The accompanying communication of the 14th inst. from Mr Thompson Esq'r, Att’y &c, with enclosures, are referred to you with a view to his being informed of the present condition of the claim of McLellan & Co to which he refers.
The Records in this Department show that said claim — embraced in the a/c's of Lieut. H. H. Garber, 4th Inf’y,— was referred to your office on the 17th January 1859.
