San Francisco Septr 23rd 1861

Dear sir
I wrote you a letter on the 24th August, after attempting
to go to Klamath I got as far as Hay fork on Trinity
but was detered from going farther for fear of Indians, who
had just killed two men One at Big Bar and one at or
near the mouth of Hay fork, the road was represented as
being very dangerous. I was without company turned back
and will not now be up. I said to you in the letter above
referred to, "I desire you to send me a copy of the inventory
you made out for Mr Hanson with certificates of all that
was paid and expended from the time of your last
property return up to the date upon which you made the
Inventory, you will send your vouchers receipted, for
your pay from 1st Novr to 31st Decr 1860, send also the note against
Kyle by Wells Fargo & Co Express or by any other person you may
choose, to San Francisco where I will await your answer, and
I will pay both, you will also pleas send all the accounts
you have contracted against the Reservation, that I may certify
them and return certified copies to the Creditors, also the several
accounts due the employees. The new superintendants have recd
no money as yet, but at are expecting it, and doubtless when
