Sir,
The letters from Dr. T. M. Ames dated Novr 28th
relative to his pay for services rendered at the Mendocino
Reservation, referred by you to this office Jany 5th 1861,
have been considered. The accounts of Late Sub Agent Ford
for the time specified by Dr Ames have not been
received at this Office therefore it is imposable to have
a settlement. Sub Agent Ford's effects have been
Administered upon, And so soon as his accounts
are rendered Dr Ames accounts will be adjusted.
