Sir: I have to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of Dec 20th 1861, (in answer to my Telegraph of the 17th Dec,) in which you state that a requisition in my favor, had that day been drawn, for the sum of $1928.75, to meet the expense for transportation of the Indian Annuity Goods, from New York.

The above amount, upon its arrival will be accounted for accordingly.
