Dear Sir I have to request that you collect from the Ind department the enclosed Claim of $300 which is duly certified by the Suptg Agt up to the close of the 3rd qr of 1863 when I quit the service and this amount closes all my claims for services done in the Ind department — I would not trouble you but at the instance and suggestion of my Father late Suptg Agt &c. Pay yourself out of the $300 for your trouble
