find claims of Silas W Tytus & J. W. Tytus
with certificates endorseing the same as
due and unpaid.
In regard to the Claims, I have no
hesitation in saying that Agent V. E. Geiger
had them enrolled as Employees at Nome
Lackee Reservation — But in the year 1860
no crop or other works of improvement was
made on said Reservation; not one acre of
the same having ever been fenced, or any
sign of the land having been cultivated for one
or two years, before I assumed the Superintending
Agency of the N Dist of Cal.
It is due the parties interested to say hower [however]
That V. E. Geiger Esq late Agent at that place was
a partner of "Agent" Tytus who owned and cultivated
