Sir,
I have the
honor to acknowledge the rect of
Invoice of Goods Shipped from N. York
23rd June also the arival of the
goods at this place.

I shall proceed to the Round Valley
Reservation first I set out on tomor-
-row and issue to the Indians at that
place their portion, & from thence to
Mendocino & Smith River Valley, and
although the amt. of goods sent to them
is so very small; beleive me it would
do your soul good, to see with what
delight each one will receive its
little share, some a shirt, some a
calico dress, some a pair of pants &
or material to make them out of.
