Dole Esq Dear Sir: Please do me the favor at earliest conveniece to remit to my address Mariposa Post Office Mariposa Cal'a - the balance $37.00 due me for services rendered a an attorney in defending the case of two Indian Women, charged with having murdered a Chinese man during the Year 1858 which Indians belong to the Fresno Indian Agency and at that time & under the Superintendance of Sub Agent M. R. Lewis - as will appear by reference to number 27, quarter ending 30th Sept, 1858. As an evidence that my claim is good, honest & just I herewith include a certificate of Indebtedness for that amount given by Sub Agent MR Lewis Very respectfully | 3Fresno County California Wm. P.
