mentioned certificates and transfer you will also please find enclosed transfer from M B Lewis to us for the amount of Salary due him ($1058 33/100) from July 1st 1860 to March 15, 1861 inclusive. Mr Lewis has sold us this Amount long ago, but as we supposed as Power of Attorney would be the simplest way to get it, we [apply?] with one last year, as can be seen by one filed with the 2nd Auditor in the later part of March or the Beginning of April 1862, but as we never have got an answer in regard to this matter we now again take the liberty to apply for it as we understand that Mr Lewis lately has sent an Account Current &c &c &c.

Millerton Feby 10. 1864

It will be recollected that above is only a copy of a letter sent last year and that we dont send the Certificates &c spoken of, as we trust they have been received in Washington long ago Respectfully Yours George Greiersen & Co
