I received yours at the 1st inst together with a copy of the Sec of the Interior letter to your office. I will transmit with this my affidavit in relation to my claim.

Charles Cochran being duly sworn [illegible?] and says, that he was in charge of Tomes Creek Station Nome Lackee Indian Reservation" California" and was to receive sixty ($60.00) dollars per month as Overseer of the [illegible?] Tomes Creek Station and that he received no pay from January 22nd A.D 1859 to July 1st A.D 1859 amounting to Three hundred and Sixteen ($316.00) dollars and that he faithfully fullfilled his duties as Overseer of said station for the unpaid above stated.
