Hon [?] [Dole?]

Dear Sir

I have at last recd [received?] a reply from Hon J [Ross?] Browne, who fixed upon this day for a [illegible?] with me, and two days since I rec [received?] another letter [illegible?] him [postponing?] for one month; until after he makes a trip to Los Angeles for his [health?]. Will you be so [illegible?] as to advise with Mr Dole (if you have not already made a settlement for me) whether it is necessary for anyone to be [illegible?] with Mr Browne in the settlement & if so whom as Mr Steele declines further action in it. I suppose Wiley would be proper if any one more be necessary.

I think it strange I have recd [received?] no reply from either yourself or Mr Dole to so many letters. I [illegible?] it cannot be wantonly so on the part of either.

Very truly your
friend [illegible?]
Geo. M. Hanson

P.S. I have written to Mr Dole to pay some of those claims for which I took vouchers except the [illegible?] are [illegible?] as some have been transferred to other party that of them I have paid.
