Lide my Darling
as promises are most
sacred I must fulfill I have no news of importance to
write though for the sake of spending a leisure hour in a
way most agreable to myself and at the same time I hope it
will prove so to my friend Lide \ well Lide I have seen Tom
at last he was down Sunday he hadly got in the house
before he ast me for your picture I gave it to him I
did not tell him what you told me to tell him
I forgot what it was and I lost my trunk key and
could not get the letter but I found it late that
evening and I will tell him the next time I see him
I saw Bud last week and told him what you wrote
he sed he wished he could flatter himself enough to think
you were in earnest Bud came up Sunday evening
after Tom started and he ast me to let him see your
picture and I told him I had sent it home he declare
if he had got holt of it I never should seen it
any moor, I presume you have herd that Jo is gon
he is gon with a lot of cattle but I have not herd

well now about the house I have not found any
yet but I think we can get one down close to
Bud and to & Jo house so we can take a peep at them
onse and a while & plague take the boys they are all going
crazy anny how all they think about is war war if you
