HARDY CLIMBING ROSES.

MARY WASHINGTON—It is a historic fact that our revered first President, George Washington, raised in his garden at Mt. Vernon a seedling Rose, which proved to be a hardy, perpetual blooming climber, producing double snow-white blossoms in great profusion from June until frost. In this lovely Rose our first President took special delight, and named it after his mother, Mary Washington. The original bush can yet be seen growing in the grounds where its world-famed master planted it in his garden at Mt. Vernon. No home is complete without one of these Roses. Each, 25c.
Prairie Qeuen [Queen]—Clear, bright pink sometimes with white stripe; large and fine. 25c.
Baltimore Belle—Pale blush, variegated carmine rose and white; very double; one of the best climbing Roses grown and very popular. 25c.
Greville, or Seven Sisters—Flowers in large clusters; varies in color, white to crimson. 25c.

MOSS ROSES.

HYBRID PERPETUAL ROSES.

General Jacqueminot—One of the grandest roses in existence; a Hybrid Perpetual sure to delight every lover of the beautiful, as nothing can surpass them in beauty. Color, a rich, dazzling scarlet, shaded with deep, velvety crimson, making a superb glowing color. Flowers large, and it is a free bloomer. Each 20c.
Coquette de Alps—White, tinged with pale rose; fine form, free bloomer. 25c.
Dinsmore—A magnificent hardy rose, of fine form, rich foliage and rapid growth; color a bright rich crimson; flowers large, very double, cup-shaped; it has proved itself to be the most prolific bloomer yet introduced. It is dwarf in habit and will undoubtedly prove one of the best bedding Roses of the day. 35c.

THE BEAUTIFUL VINE

Salanum Jasminoides Grandiflorum.
This beautiful new plant is of a trailing or climbing habit, but seldom attains a greater height than three or four feet, and if desired can then be cut back to a bush form. It has star-shaped flowers, something like a Clematis, and borne in large clusters or panicles frequently a foot across. They are in color a pure white with violet tinge on the back; it is equally a good bloomer in Summer and Winter, and is wonderfully effective when planted to cover a wall or trellis, showing hundreds of magnificent panicles of bloom. When planted jointly with the beautiful Manettia Vine it makes a splendid appearance, both plants having the desirable quality of the blooms remaining perfect for a long time before fading. Each, 15c.
VERBENA—One of the prettiest and most popular of all plants suitable for beds on the lawn. It commences to flower and spread from the first day the plants are set, until late in the autumn, every day becoming better and more handsome. A healthy plant will cover a space three feet in diameter. Our plants are grown with care, and are as robust as seedlings. Over forty varieties, including all the new kinds. Each, 10c, doz. 75c.

BEAUTIFUL FAIRY ROSES.

These Polyantha roses are of marvelous grace and beauty. Something every one can succeed with. Sure to give satisfaction. They bloom in immense clusters, 25 to 50 together on a single stem. The flowers are of singular purity, and resemble minature [miniature] camelias in their regularity. They are wonderfully beautiful and bloom constantly, and are entirely distinct from every other Rose, blooming as freely as a Geranium, and require as little care. They are quite hardy, requiring but slight protection even in the north. Excellent for cemetary [cemetery] planting, for outdoor bedding and for growing in pots. Nothing can be handsomer for button-hole and corsage bouquets. We sell thousands of these, and purchasers are delighted.
Mignonette—As the name would denote, this is deliciously scented; the flowers are blush or soft rose, borne in dense heads—we have had trusses with over 200 flowers and buds on each at the same time. 15c each.
Minature—The smallest Rose in cultivation; the flowers, which are only about the size of a silver dime, are produced in great profusion and are very double; the edges of the petals are finely fringed, giving it a striking and beautiful appearance. It is a delicate rose color on opening, changing to pure white as the flowers expand. 15c.
Little White Pet—Very handsome, pure white, perfect shaped flower. A strong grower and profuse bloomer. Very hardy. 20c.
Perle d’Or—Color of the buds beautiful nankeen yellow, with vivid orange center, each petal tipped white, changing to buff tinged rose in the open flower. 15c.
Clothilde Soupert—A decided novelty, and one which should be in the collection of every lover of Roses. See illustration and description on cover of catalogue. Each. 25c.
One plant each of the five Fairies for 75c.
SMILAX—Well known, handsome climber. and the most popular of all vines with the florists. 15c.
TORENIA—An admirable plant with light blue flowers, heavily blotched with very dark blue; in shape like the Gloxinia. 15c.
