ORNAMENTAL VINES AND CREEPERS.

One would scarcely believe what fine effect a few handsome, graceful vines will give to almost any place. For instance, a fine Clematis will just fill a place which would otherwise be unoccupied, and attract more attention when in bloom than any other plant on the place. Don’t omit to ask for a few vines with your order.
Smaller plants of any of the following (except Clematis Jack) 25c each, by mail, postpaid.
TRUMPET FLOWER—Of rapid growth, with large, showy, trumpet shaped, scarlet flowers and pretty foliage. When in full bloom, during August, it produces a most gorgeous effect. Each, 40c.
AMPELOPSIS-VEITCHII—(Boston Ivy)—This is one of the finest climbers we know for covering walls, as it clings firmly to the smoothest surface. It is quite hardy and becomes more popular each year. Each, 40c.
CHINESE WISTARIA—A very rapid grower, and one of the most beautiful of all climbers. It is perfectly hardy, grows very rapidly, climbing to a height of fifty feet or more, and when covered with bloom is truly magnificent. It produces an abundance of long drooping racemes, resembling in size and shape a long bunch of grapes. Our illustration represents a very small cluster of flowers. Color blue. Often produces another crop of flowers in late Summer or Fall. Very popular and satisfactory. Each, 40c.
VIRGINIA CREEPER, or AMERICAN IVY—A well known variety of luxuriant vigorous growth, and owing to its ivy-like tendrills [tendrils], valuable for covering unsightly objects. Turns to a bright crimson in Autumn. Each, 40c.
HONEYSUCKLE, Red Coral or Scarlet Trumpet—A strong, rapid grower, with an abundance of bright scarlet flowers, which are strikingly handsome, This is probably the most beautiful honeysuckle in cultivation, and blooms almost without ceasing. Each, 40c,
Yellow Trumpet—Like above, only yellow. Each, 40c.
Monthly Fragrant—Showy flowers of most delightful fragrance, and continues to bloom a long time. A desirable plant for verandas and porches, by reason of its sweetness. 40c.
CLEMATIS, Jackmanii—The pioneer of the large-flowered improved Clematis, and with few, if any equals, and no superiors. Vigorous, perpetual, very profuse and constant. Flowers large, in such masses as to form a cloud of bloom of intense violet-purple, having the appearance of velvet, and remarkably rich. Much of the popularity of the Clematis is due to this superb variety, and, to our taste, it is the choicest vine in cultivation. Large fine three-year-old plants, only $1.
Flammula, also called Virgin’s Bower—A strong-growing vine, producing a mass of small, white, very fragrant flowers. Each, 40c.
Viticella—A free-growing and free flowering variety, producing handsome bluish-violet flowers. One of the best. Each, 40c.
