MARVEL GERANIUM COLLECTION
SPECIAL OFFER TO FLOWER LOVERS WORTHY OF FIRST PLACE IN OUR FLORAL BARGAINS
Five Fine, Thrifty Plants Postpaid to your Home for 60 Cents
You can have success and satisfaction with this collection

[Left column]
The geranium blooms so freely and continuously, is so free from
disease and insect troubles, is so thrifty under good or bad conditions,
that it is the popular flower among the masses of the people, and in
this collection we offer you five of the newer and superior sorts which
will delight with beautiful colors, bright markings and sturdy growth.
The price is so low that all can afford to try this splendid bargain.
Yvette Prost This is a most magnificent single flowered variety.
Color is bright violet rose with white eye, varying
somewhat in size in different flowers, and shading to violet before
reaching the outer portion of the petals, thus adding to the beauty
and brilliancy of the flower truss. The plant is a strong, vigorous
grower; does not suffer from sun scald or blight, is a free bloomer and
very desirable for either summer bedding or winter blooming in the
house. Each 15c: dozen $1.50.
Marvel A flaming scarlet of splendid size, double form, vigorous
growth and brilliant color. A fine variety for mass bedding
because the many glowing trusses of large flowers make a dazzling
show so bright as to instantly catch the eye even at a distance. A
single plant will add the necessary touch of fiery red so essential in
making a harmonious collection for indoor blooming. The habit of
growth of this variety is all that can be desired either for summer
bedding or house blooming. Each 15c: dozen $1.50.
Daybreak A glorious pink, bright and beautiful. There are numerous
pink geraniums, but we offer you the Daybreak in
this collection because our experience, shows it to be the most profuse
and persistent bloomer among the pink sorts. The blossoms are
double, florets large and truss heavy, strong and borne well above the
foliage, so that the flower is always in view in any situation. The
plant is of vigorous growth and of good form, making it well adapted
to outdoor bedding. Each 15c: dozen $1.50.
Bird's Egg A wonderfully delicate and dainty combination of colors
in the distinctive shading and markings of this flower.
Our colored illustration is drawn from nature, but there is a native
beauty in the blossom that is so elusive that it is almost impossible
to convey it to paper. The equisite shade in the dots of coloring, and
the purity of the white ground in the petals on which the dots are
laid are of nature's painting and beyond the power of the artist to
reproduce. We do, however, give you a splendid picture of the flower,
and from it you can grasp an idea of its extreme loveliness. Most
people associate the idea of strong, hardy beauty with the geranium,
and its popularity is largely based upon the flame of color and sturdy
growth which are characteristics of this plant. But in the Bird's Egg
variety we have strength and vigor of plant contrasted wiht a flower
so dainty that it might well compare with the Rubrum Lilies in beauty
and richness. Each 20c: dozen $2.00.
Alpine Beauty This grand new French variety possesses all of the
essential points that constitute an ideal geranium.
enabling it to withstand our trying summers, being one of the best
of the Bruant or sun-proof type, with very large, handsome, rich
green foliage, zoned with dark green: of dwarf, vigorous and compact
growth. Produces enormous trusses of pure white flowers on long
stems held well above the foliage. The florets are very large and just
double enough to give them a fine finish. Each 15c: dozen $1.50.

BIRD'S EGG GERANIUM

EVERGREEN LAWN GRASS
A Fine Close Turf Ready for the Lawn
Mower Forty-five Days from Seeding
Every lawn needs building up. As long as you
cut the grass continually without permitting it to
go to seed, the original plants become weaker and
fewer in number. Some new seed should be sown
each year. This is not expensive nor does it require
a great amount of labor. If the lawn is
badly run down it is better to plow it up and
re-plant it entirely. For either purpose, we
recommend our Evergreen Lawn Grass. This
grass seed is mixed by ourselves from new, choice
seed, and in such proportions as are best to grow
together to secure a continuous growth the entire
season. During midsummer blue grass and some
of the other grasses lie nearly dormant under the
heat of the sun, and it is necessary to have
grasses that will grow at this season of the year.
These we have provided in our Evergreen Mixture
, and we know from years of selling experience
that Evergreen Lawn Grass gives satisfaction
to our customers.
