Chicago, JUN 6 1887 Dear Chas: Your letter with $25 at hand will apply as desired. Had letter from L. Friday giving account of your call. She enjoyed your short stay very much. Says she can see no change in you since she last saw you. We will of course be interested to know your business decission when arrived at. Am disappointed that you did not say a word about coming on to Chi. in this letter. The circus has gone but there are still a few points of interest here in addition to the warm reception you would receive at any time and as Chi. is a noted Summer resort, according to our papers, June - July - or August any of them will be comfortable compared with Col. Hope you have not given up the idea. Love to all & the baby. Is she to be "Mary" permanently or only on trial? Your Brother J. Hughes.
