Lydia, LVA

In the first entry for John Wallis, the clerk has written "removed to Ohio" in the color field. He seems to have made his note in the wrong column so I've captured that information in the Additional Notes field.

Reminder to transcribers: we are indexing these registers to create searchable data. In this case, "removed to Ohio" would not be data for the color indexing field, but it is still useful information, so I've used my best judgment in placing it in a different field.

Hi Judith, we agree and thank you for this note! When you see a correction like this, you can edit it directly in the spreadsheet by clicking into the Transcribe tab and locating the cell. Names can be especially tricky since there is so little context. We appreciate your help to improve this index!
