Articles of agreement made and entered into this 27th of February in the year 1860, between Lucy Baker (a free woman of color) of the one part, and Martin Derr, Jr of the second part, both of the town of Manchester - Witnesseth: That the said Martin Derr,Jr. for the consideration hereinafter mentioned, doth for himself, doth covenant, and agree to and with the said Lucy Baker, her executors, administrators and aligns, that he, the said Martin Derr, Jr or his aligns, shall and will , within a reasonable space of the time next after the date hereof, in good workmanlike manner, nell and sub-stantially erect, build, set up and finish one house or [illegible] according to the agreement hereunto annexed of the dimensions following: _The House to be 22 feet front and rear by 16 feet deep; 2 Stories; to have one door in front 4 panels and one door in rear, "to be batton"; one window on lower floor,front, and rear, 12 lights, 8 by 10, and 2 windows on second floor, front, and rear, 12 lights, 8 by 10; all the windows to have Hinds; the weather- boarding to be dressed; the floors to be milled dressed, tonqued and grooved, and to [illegible] the same with good merchantable lumber. In consideration wherof, the said Lucy Baker, doth for herself, her executos and administrators
