This Indenture made and entered into this twenty sixth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty seven between Henry Anderson of the County of Amelia State of Virginia of the first part and Francis Anderson one negro, of the same county of the second part Witnesseth that the said Henry Anderson for and in condsideration of the sum of five dollars in hand paid the reciept whereby in hereby awknowledged and also for other consideration him thereunto moving, hath given, granted, bargained, and sell and by these presents doth give grant, bargain, and sell to and unto the said Francis Anderson his heirs and assigns the following tract in parcel of land lying in the County curtaining acenting to survey by Miller Piller two hundred and seventy five acres, ____ in the north and north west by Flat Creek, at the least by a branch(?) seperating is from the ____ House ____ of said Henry and running into said Creek on the ___ by the land of Alfred Anderson + one negro, this day conveyed to him by said Henry, and by Janet A. ____ land and in the West or Southwest by the public road from ____ to ___ which land is now in the posession of said Francis. To have and to hold said tract(?) or land and parcel of land and its appurtenances to him the said Frances his heirs

and assigns forever: And the said Henry Anderson, and the said Henry Anderson doth for himself and his heir , execs(?)., and ___ hereby Covenant and agree to and with the said Francis His heir and assigns forever to warrent and defend said and appurtenances to him the said Francis and his heir and assigns against the claim of all parties whatsoever.
