Supervised loading of supplies from truck into planes. Had to see that loads were placed in the proper compartment, balanced correctly, and securely tied down.

CIVILIAN OCCUPATIONS: Painter I: Painted, varnished, and shellaced floors, walls, ceilings, and woodwork in homes. Removed old paint with chemicals and blow torch and applied new paint with hand brush and spray gun. Mixed and matched colors on new and redecorating work. Did some rigging and scaffolding. Kept books on jobs completed and made out individual bills. Supervised five other painters. Ran own establishment for two years, 1942 - 1944.
