information-about-overseas-service: (Not complete). All I know, to date, is that my son's death (according to his Chaplain) occurred in Odinhauses, Germany, near Essen and was buried, according to his Protestant faith, with military honors at Ottenbach, Germany. He was with the 309 Infantry (78th Division, known as the "Lightning Division" in World War I. Have never found out which Army he was with.
