He served in France, Belgium Holland and Germany. He was serving in Germany at Eilendorf near Aachen, when wounded by emeny artillery fire on Nov. 9. 1944. He died Nov. 10, 1944 and buried in Belgium in National Cememtary, with Protestant burial services. His division, the 104th Infantry, was serving with General Rodger' First Army.
