14 April 1897 Dear Stedman, Dick tells me to send you the enclosed, and to add that he is tearing his hair with griefhe is comital to see Edgar Saltus praise Edgar [?] and Edgar [?] praise Edgar Saltus. I can't tell you how happy [ ?]is. it makes me afraid - he is very busy, yesterday a California manager came here and was closeted with him - he has had another application
