Letter from Edwin Arlington Robinson to Esther Willard Bates

This is a scanned version of the original document in the Abernethy Manuscripts Collection at Middlebury College.

Peterborough, N. H. August 12, 1920

Dear Miss Bates

Thank you for the MS which I am glad to have out of the way. We are all sorry to have you go, but perhaps it is better for your health and for your independence that you are not here just now, for chanterelles as large as dinner-bells are popping up all over the place.

Yours sincerely, E. A. Robinson
