mother, from Yorkshire, on Saturday. But there
have been no replies from you or Marjorie
or Mac's girlfriend. We should have returned
to camp on Sunday night - but I could
not bear to leave here, as I had given
you the Hotel address to reply to - so
I telephoned & got extension until today.
And now it seems that I shall have to
return after all without hearing from you,
& when your cable comes, it will now
have to be posted on to camp - & I
may leave there any day, & it will have
to follow me on again. Oh darling, its
awful having no news of you at all - &
not knowing when I shall hear.
I shall cable you again today before going
back to camp - which is quite a long way
from here - several hours.
I had thought too, that there would
be at least one or two letters waiting
for me - but there has been nothing
