You will like the one of me & Peter & you will see what a tough little chap he is, with his thick neck & strong chest. I don't think you will like or prize the other one very much - but there it is. I think I look a bit silly, but probably no sillier than any one else in that sort of headdress. I have ordered some more of the me & Peter one, which I will send on when they come - together with a distribution list.

It is 12.0 o'clock pm, in other words, midnight! & I have just heard the last news. The battle in Lybia has now been joined & we seem to be doing very well. The next few days should be very exciting & perhaps revealing too. I am absolutely on pins, to know what affect it will have on my eventual return home. Which reminds me, darling, that in your last letter but one - but which was actually your last one - you asked me to promise solemnly, not to do anything or take any action which would get me into the fighting. excusing or forgiving B-S for one moment, that was a low & dirty trick because of what he knew we had been through & because of my impending transfer to the 7th. Nor does it affect my wanting to be posted home - that is different too. But I do not think an officer can apply or take steps to be transferred here & there, just because he likes the look or idea of the job better. The Army would be chaos if that were freely allowed. And so rest content, sweetness - so long as the Promised Land is safe, so am I. And even if it is not, I shall be. I am coming home to you & nothing is going to prevent it.

Darling - do you really love me very much? & are you really happy that you married me? & will you always love me? If you do & will - please do go on telling me - I love to hear it & can never hear it too often. I love you so much & so completely, that nothing else matters or counts or even interests me. It is you, darling, everything is you - now & always & forever. I have neglected Maxie in this letter - Please give my love & a big kiss. Always your Harry
