May 6 A.D. 1812 Wednesday Afternoon First Division of the Philomathesian Society convened and having previously appointed a President pro tempore, proceed to examine several reports.

Voted that the Report of Bas. H. Shumway and H. Webster committee of this Division concerning the state of the treasury of the Common Philomathesian Society be accepted.

Voted that the report of Br. L. Daivs, committee of this Division, who in conjuction with a committee from the Second Division, examined the Library be accepted.

Voted that the report of the apprising Committee, Brs, G. M. Witland and J. C. Henry concerning the value of the Trunk, Books wtc., of the Common Soceity and assigning them to this Division be accepted.

The First Division of the Philomathesian Society then proceeded to choose Brs. W perrin, S. Nelson and L. Parsons, for a common committee to transact the common business of the society.

Then a commiittee of seven members were chosen by ballott, viz from the Senior Class Brs. S. Davis, D. O. Morton- from the Junior H. H. Hatch and F. Smith-

from the Sophomore Class T.C. Hnery, & R Post, and from the Freshman D. Clayes to form a Constitution and laws for the First Division of the Philomathesian Society.

The Society then adjourned.
