Deer Cousin

I am going to put a
little scrap in Joseph's letter, to in-
form Thee that E. Meader has return-
ed home, and I gave her Thy mes-
sage of love, and the account of the
death of Thy deer William - she ex-
pressed much sympathy for Thee
and wished me to give her love to
Thee and say that she intended to
write Thee soon. Moses Beede is
very feeble. They say he has failed
very much this summer. We re-
ceived a letter from our William
about a week since, it came by
Flag of [France?] - he mentioned having
received a letter which was written
in the fourth month, and contained
Photographs of all the family, which
gave them "unbounded pleasure".
all well - with love I remain affectionately
