My dear Willie

I didn't suppose I had seen
thee for the last time [deleted]when[/deleted] for years perhaps
when I came away from Horace's or I should
have given thee the parting hand. I thought thee
was coming to mother's the next night
and when I failed of seeing thee here
I would have called upon thee in
Plainfield but did'nt know where to
find thee. Thee came to me in my dreams
last night. Would I could enjoy thy company
in my waking moments. Nathan and I came
here a little more than a week ago. We
occupy thy chamber mother has fitted it
up nicely with whitewash paper and varnish
so that it has a very pleasant look, but
how different it seems here now from what
it did when I came almost fifteen years
ago then all was bustle and activity.
Grandfater father uncle Clark and seven
children besides mother and other caretakers
