Laborers board.

Voted. That the price of board of the laborers
shall be two dollars & fifty cents per week, until
the further order of the board.

The Trustees then
proceeded to the choice of a Superintendant by
ballot & it appeared that the whole number of
ballots was five, all of which were for Mr Rufus
Howe

Mr Read having retired

Voted that
Mr. Bond be a Comee to prepare regulations for
the Superintendant. _

Voted. To adjourn to Tuesday next
at 4 ock P.M.

ment, at the office of the Secretary on

Bond, C.P. Curtis, B.R. Curtis, Parker & Read

Committee on Lots.

Voted. That the same gentlemen with the same
powers as during the last year be the Committee on
Lots.

Mr Bond made the following report which was
accepted. _

If I'm reading this page and the last one correctly, the Trustees had the right to board laborers working for the Cemetery in the house of the Superintendent for 2.50 a week in 1841.

My first medical care policy in 1973 included 100% of the daily cost of hospitalization up to $29 per day! $2.50 a week 180 years ago almost seems generous!
