Superintendent's Report. 1848.

George Wm Bond Esq. Treasurer of the Mount Auburn Cem-
etery corporation.

Dear Sir, the whole number of lots improved
the past year by being sodded &c is eighty five, whole
number of tombs built seven.
Whole number of monuments erected thirty one.
Whole number of lots fenced with iron and hedges ^fifty
Whole number of interments the past year four
hundred and sixteen.
Whole number since my connection with the place
two thousand four hundred and sixty.
Total number of interments three thousand six
hundred and eighty four.

Trustees.

Pursuant to notices issued in the usual manner the Trustees
met at the office of C.P. Curtis Esquire, Boston on . Present C.P. Curtis, Jacob Bigelow, James Read
George W. Crockett, and Isaac Parker. The hour of meeting was 11 1/2 A.M.

Officers. Election of.

The following officers were unanimously elected by ballot, for
the ensuing year -

___ Geo. Wm Bond - Treasurer-
___ Henry M. Parker Secretary.
Committee on lots. viz Jacob Bigelow, C.P. Curtis, Isaac Parker.
The committee on finance for the year was filled by the unan-
imous election of Messrs Gould & Dixwell
G.W. Crockett was elected Auditor of accounts for the ensuing year.
