Proprietors' 1850

Pursuant to the foregoing notice which was published in the Bos-
ton Daily Advertiser
, a newspaper printed in the City of Boston
more than seven days in succession before the said time of
meeting, The Proprietors of the Cemetery of Mount Auburn met
met at the time and place designated in said notice.
A quorum having assembled, the President Dr Bigelow
took the chair.

The Treasurer's and Superintendent's reports were pre-
sented read, and ordered to be recorded.

The President submitted a written account of the
doings of the Trustees for the previous year and of the
present condition of the Cemetery, which was accepted
and ordered to be placed upon the Society's files.

Trustees elected.

The following named gentlemen were then unani-
mously chosen by ballot to be trustees for the ensuing
year. Jacob Bigelow, George W. Crockett, B.R. Curtis,
C.P. Curtis, J.J. Dixwell, B.A. Gould, Isaac Parker, James
Read
, and Mace Tisdale.

A proposition from James Munroe & Co to fur-
nish catalogues for general distribution to the Corporators
was discussed, and finally referred to the Trustees.

Adjourned. A true record.

Mount Auburn Cemetery. . Geo Wm Bond Esq.
Treasurer of the Cemetery Corporation, Dear Sir, The whole num-
ber of lots improved, the past year by being graded &c. was
one hundred and six, Whole number of Lots fenced thirty five, whole
number of tombs built five, whole number of monuments erected thirty, whole
number of interments four thousand one hundred and ninety nine.
Whole number the past year five hundred and fifteen. Respectfully yours
Rufus Howe. Supt.
