Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
Suffolk ss. . Then person-
ally appeared Henry M. Parker and made oath
that he would faithfully perform the duties of
Secretary of the Proprietors of ^the Cemetery of Mount Auburn.
Before me C.P. Curtis Justice of the Peace

Trustees.

Pursuant to notices issue in the usual manner the Trustees
met at the office of C.P. Curtis Esqr, at . Present Messrs Bigelow,
B.R. Curtis, Dixwell, Gould, Parker, Read and Tisdale.
The Superintendent and Treasurer were also in attendance.

Superintendent his duties &c.

The Secretary read a communication from Mr Howe,
in relation to his duties, compensation, &c &c. for services as
Superintendent. The matter was discussed at large.
Mr Parker retired before any action was had.

Special provision for Mr Howe.

Voted. That in consideration of the long and faithful ser-
vices of Mr Rufus Howe, the present Superintendent, an annual
grant of two hundred dollars (payable quarterly) be allowed
to him in addition to his salary. the arrangement to con-
tinue until the farther action of this board.

Superintendent's house.

Voted. That the whole subject of the superintendents
house
, its location, size, repairing, building anew &c &c
and the matter of his boarding laborers be referred
to a committee of three consisting of Messrs Bigelow
Gould and Tisdale. Said committee to report at
a future meeting of this board.
