"Mr Wyeth appears to be suited to the office
"which he holds, and they unanimously recommend
"that the present mode of having a Gate Keeper and
"Clerk combined in one individual, appointed by the
"Trustees, be continued. Indeed, in their judgment,
"it would be impossible for the business pertaining to the
"office to be performed, unless a person competent to ful-
"fil all the duties should be employed." _

Report in part recommitted _

Voted that the report be recomitted
so far as related to the other matters contained therein
for the purpose of enabling the Committee to prepare
such votes as will definitely express what is substan-
tially recommended. _

Supt.s House.

The Committee upon Grounds, to which was referred the
subject of building a Superintendent's house, reported
that they had examined some plans & estimates, &
were of opinion that a suitable house might be erected
for the sum of not more than $3500. above the cellar.

Committee Chosen to superintend building of same.

Whereupon it was

Voted to choose and empower a Committee
of three to erect a house for Superintendent, upon such
part of land of the Corporation between Brattle and Mount
Auburn Streets as they may think most suitable, the house
itself to cost not more than ($3500) thirty-five hundred
dollars. _ Accordingly
